Video in Tumblr, FriendFeed, and Google Reader

I was just looking through my Tumblr dashboard and watched this video from Nav.  As I was watching this video from Nav, I realized the main problem with getting videos in Tumblr Dashboard, Google Reader, via IM or email, or in FriendFeed / Twitter—all these other tools are primarily populated with textual content.

So, when going through any of these inboxes, I proceed at a fairly rapid rate, skimming and concentrating on important stuff.  When I get a video item, however, it breaks my rhythm.  The video takes much longer to parse and consume than all the other content, and I really need to be in a different mode (eg, cooking dinner or getting ready for work in the morning) to consume video.

Feature request: let me watch my feed with auto-advance not by channel, but just by all the items in my feed.  I think there will probably be 3 auto-advance options: playlist, channel (related video, I think it’s called, the default right now), and feed / inbox.

What do you think?
